The only grandmother named in the New Testament.
Nearly two thousand years ago, near the end of his life, the apostle Paul wrote a letter to a young pastor named Timothy. Before anything else, he remembered where Timothy’s faith had come from:
“The genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice.”
It’s the only time the word “grandmother” appears in the New Testament, and it’s there because of the faith she passed down. Lois never wrote a book or led a church. She prayed, and she taught a little boy about God.
That’s what this necklace is for. Every name on it is a child you pray for, and a faith you are passing down.
